NAO “Zhetysu University named after I.Zhansugurov” on April 8, 2022 on the basis of the Higher School of Natural Sciences is holding a regional Olympiad in subjects of natural science (mathematics, physics, biology, computer science, chemistry) among school graduates of the Almaty region.
The goals and objectives of the Olympiad are: disclosure of creative abilities, selection and support of the most talented and gifted children; assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of students; development of interest in scientific activity and logical thinking, the ability to integrate knowledge and use it to solve non-standard tasks.
The form of the Olympiad: off-line.
The working languages of the Olympiad are Kazakh, Russian.
Participants of the Olympiad: students of 11th grades of secondary schools, lyceums and gymnasiums of the Almaty region can take part in the subject Olympiad. Persons included in the application for participation in the Olympiad and registered are allowed to participate in the Olympiad. It is necessary to fill out an application for participation in the Olympiad and submit it by April 5, 2022 according to the appropriate form (Appendix 1).
The order of the Olympiad
Registration of participants 8.30 – 9.00.
The Olympiad is held in 2 rounds: on the 1st round of the Olympiad, students will be given 3 practical tasks (completion time is 60 minutes). On the 2nd round, students will be given 5 practical tasks (completion time – 90 minutes). Tasks for the Olympiad are compiled according to school subjects of the natural science direction (mathematics, physics, biology, computer science, chemistry).
Time of the 1st round: 9.00 – 10.00.
Time of the 2nd round: 10.30 – 12.00.
The Olympiad is held in the form of an individual competition. The winners in the individual competition will be the participants who have scored the maximum number of points for 2 rounds.
Students taking part in the Olympiad are prohibited from:
– communicate with anyone, all questions not related to the content of tasks should be resolved only with representatives of the organizing committee of the Olympiad;
– use reference, educational literature;
– use a mobile phone and other means of communication;
– leave the audience unnecessarily.
Participants who violate these requirements are removed from the Olympiad, and their works are excluded from competitive consideration.
Summing up: the evaluation criteria and the scoring procedure are determined by the organizing committee. The Olympiad jury independently checks and evaluates completed tasks. After the announcement of the results of the Olympiad, the work of the appeal commission will be carried out. The Appeal Commission will work from 14.00 to 15.00 hours. The jury determines the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad.
The time of summing up the results of the Olympiad and awarding: 15.00 – 16.00.
