Тoday, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a meeting with the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Malik Otarbayev. The event was attended by Deputy Akim of Zhetysu Region Marlen Kolbaev, university faculty members, scholars, and students.
Chairman of the Board – Rector Yermek Buribayev noted that Malik Otarbayevś visit to the Zhetysu region is part of a working trip aimed at explaining the initiatives announced by the Head of State during the session of the National Kurultai.
A report on the fourth session of the National Kurultai, recently held in the country, was presented by Gulbanu Ishkalova, Head of the Department of History and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines. In her speech, she offered an in-depth analysis of issues related to Kazakh culture and spirituality, the development of civil society, education, science, and socio-economic matters. Third-year history student Kalamkas Zhumadil also shared her views, emphasizing that measures aimed at curbing indiscipline and irresponsibility among youth are welcomed and supported by the students themselves.
During the meeting, Malik Otarbayev elaborated on the core objectives of the National Kurultai, stressing that the decisions made during its sessions are instrumental in strengthening civil society and laying the foundation for the country’s socio-economic development.
“Since 2022, the National Kurultai has become one of the strategic institutions shaping the future of our nation. This is evidenced by the implementation of specific decisions made at previous sessions. This year, too, the Kurultai addressed the most pressing societal issues, and new proposals were presented to guide the country’s continued development and prosperity,” the presidential advisor noted.
In addition, Malik Otarbayev delivered an engaging lecture to students, covering topics such as state-building, domestic and foreign policy, the formation of a Just Kazakhstan, preservation of national identity, and core human values. He encouraged students to strive to become competent professionals and honest citizens.
In conclusion, Rector Yermek Buribayev expressed his gratitude to Presidential Advisor Malik Otarbayev for a meaningful and impactful dialogue.
