Lectures of the students of the educational programs of Journalism and Information are held in the building №1 in №129 of the audience named after V. Salagayev, in auditoriums №202, №203, №204, №205, which are specially equipped with interactive whiteboard, №205 – educational television studio, № 205 – educational radio studio.
Educational and methodological seminars and trainings organized by teaching staff Educational Programs of Journalism and Information
In April 2018, Saltanat Kaldybekova, a lawyer at the Media Support Center of the National Association of Broadcasters, held a seminar for students of Educational Programs of Journalism and Information «new provisions concerning legislation on the Media and the activities of a journalist». At the end of the seminar, 40 students received certificates.
Educational Programs of Journalism and Information in 2018, the IV International Spring School of Scientific PR «Communications and Media for Sustainable Development» was organized jointly with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the State institution «Department of Internal Policy of the Almaty Region and the Regional Communications Service of the Almaty region. 65 students received certificates.
On October 23, 2020, a master class with the own correspondent of the national channel «Qazaqstan» in Europe, Nursultan Kasymov, was organized for students at the Eurasian National University and Educational Programs of Journalism and Information of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
On April 26, 2021, a master class «Journalism and Education, Ethics» was held for students of 2-3 courses of Educational Programs of Journalism and Information with a well-known journalist, member of the Academy of Journalists of Kazakhstan Timur Serzhanov.
PhD of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi KazNU K. N. Mysayeva held an online lecture «hate speech in the media» for students of the Educational Programs of Journalism and Information of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Al-Farabi KazNU and I.Zhansugurov Zhetysu University. The main purpose of the event for students of the three universities is to give students a broader understanding of the language, types and classification of hatred. At the master class in Media journalism, students received certificates. The 2nd year students (ZhK 211, ZhK 212, ZhPK211) discussed the President’s Message in detail. Speaking about the global model of implementing political reforms in the main document, they expressed support for the new initiative of the President on the constitutional approval of the norm concerning his powers and close relatives.

On November 13, 2019, Darkhan Kuandykovich Kydyrali, Chairman of the Board of the Republican Newspaper Egemen Qazaqstan Joint Stock Company, visited the University.
The meeting was timed to the 125th anniversary of the birth of I. Zhansugurov. Students of the educational programs Journalism and Philology asked Darkhan Kydyrali questions concerning the life of the republican newspaper and received exhaustive answers.

On November 26, 2021, a curatorial hour on the topic «Corruption and society» was held for students of the educational groups ZhK-311, ZhK-312 of the educational programs of Journalism and Information of Karimova Bibigul Zhumashovna. Purpose: To clarify the concept of «corruption», to form an idea of the conditions of occurrence, to cultivate the ability to avoid negative habits; to learn to express one’s point of view, to express thoughts freely, to work creatively, to foster a responsible attitude to one’s state and justice, to promote national education.
Within the framework of the theme «Adaldyk alany» on May 5, a curatorial hour was organized for the group of ZhK111 Educational Programs of Journalism and Information. The curator of the group, Alatyr Ilesbek, focused on careful preparation for the exam of each lesson. He also noted the need to behave correctly in front of the camera, maintain the culture of the audience and wished all students good luck.
Students of the 2nd year of educational programs of journalism and information of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov became participants of the International Association of Young Scientists. At the initiative of the head of educational programs Zhumagali Beysenbayuly, the works of two winners who prepared research papers were recognized as the best of more than
20 articles.Creativity of students Meirambek Manarbekuly and Balausa Kasymkhan, who spoke on the topic «Тәуелсіздік қымбат ұғым».
In connection with the 50th anniversary of Zhetysu University, the museum of Chokan Ualikhanov ZhK 111 and ZhK 211 were visited under the guidance of the teacher-lecturer of educational programs of journalism and information Ilesbek Albatyr within the framework of the «Rukhani Zhangyru» program. The educational event made a special impression on the students.
On April 23, for students of the groups ZhK-311, ZhK-312, ZhK-211, ZhK -212 Yessenbek Zhumagali Beysenbayuly held an educational hour on the topic «ethics of a journalist: tolerance in the media». During the educational hour, the rights and duties of a journalist, ethics issues were considered. The definition of the topic of tolerance is given. The problem of xenophobia was considered. Domestic cases were explained to the students.
On May 12, for students of groups ZhK-211, ZhK-212, Yeassenbek Zhumagali Beysenbayuly organized an educational meeting with specialists of radio «Defakto» for people with disabilities in Taldykorgan.
At the end of the meeting, the students had the opportunity to practice on the radio «Defakto».
Since 2013, students of educational programs 5B050400 (6B03201) – journalism and information have been participating in internal and external academic mobility programs.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, students of the Educational Programs Journalism and Information A. Esenbayeva and A. Kudaibergenova studied for one semester at the University of Lodz in Poland under the program External academic mobility.
According to the program of internal academic mobility, a student of the Suleyman Demirel A. Alkenov University studied for one semester at our University in the 2017-2018 academic year.
In the 2018-2019 academic year, students of the 3rd year of the Educational Programs Journalism and Information A. Orazaly and G.Turarova on internal academic mobility were trained from January to June 2019 at the University of International Business: UIB in Almaty:
In the 2018-2019 academic year, Kamchybek uulu Samat and Arapbay uulu Bilool from the international Kuwait University of Kyrgyzstan studied in the 2nd year of External academic mobility.
In the second half of the 2021-2022 academic year, 3rd-year students of the Educational Programs of Journalism and Information Akhmetzhan Ayauzhan, Nurzhapar Arailym studied at Omer Halisdemir University (Niide, Republic of Turkey) for one academic semester in an online format.
Over the past 5 years, we have been working to attract scientists to give lectures on internal and external academic mobility.
In the 2018-2019 academic year for external academic mobility, Professor of Linguistics at the technical University (Poland) L. Kieleva gave lectures and took exams.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, Associate professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Rozhkov Alexander Viktorovich gave an online lecture of 45 hours for 4th-year students of educational programs of journalism and information on internal academic mobility.
Candidate of Philological Sciences, senior lecturer Aliya Mataeva Zhumagulova, Shakarim Semey University of Sciences for 3rd year students of educational programs of journalism and information on internal academic mobility in the 2022-2023 academic year held an online lecture in the amount of 60 hours.

In order to improve the activities of Educational Programs of Journalism and Information and the implementation of dual education since the 2017-2018 academic year, a branch of educational programs «Workshop» has been opened and successfully operates on the basis of the Almaty Regional Regional Communication Center. «Master class in journalism», «Multimedia journalism», «legal foundations of a journalist» are held in the branch of the department in the House of Journalists.
Master classes in the branch of Еducational Programs of Journalism and Information:
On September 11, 2018, the Еducational Programs of Journalism and Information of Zhetysu state University named after I. Zhansugurov together with the General Director of the regional TV channel «Zhetysu» Beisen Kuranbek held a thematic master class. The well-known journalist shared his experience with future colleagues and presented an analysis of current problems in journalism. A qualified specialist gave some tips on how to use the changing requirements of modern times. Along with students, teachers of the Department and employees of the Zhetysu TV channel participated in the master class. The older generation of representatives of journalism and young promising students have developed an agreement on joint activities. Head of the Department of journalism and Philology Yesenbek Zhumagali Beysenbaiuly and Director of the Zhetysu TV channel Kuranbek Beysen signed an agreement on practical training of 50 students during one TV season. According to the developed plan, every month a group of students in the number of five people will undergo practice on the set of the program «Tanzharyk». 
On February 22, 2018, the house of journalists hosted a lecture by N.Abdirahyma, Deputy editor-in-chief of the Zhetysu newspaper of the Almaty region, on the topic «there is a person Behind the letter» for students of the Еducational Programs of Journalism and Information. The speaker explained how to view and edit emails that come to the editorial office.
On March 1, 2018, the correspondent of the newspaper «Ogni Alatau» V.Petelnik held a master class for students on the topic «Basics of newspaper journalism and genres of printed periodicals». On March 13, 2018, the correspondent of «Kazakhstan» TV channel K.Serikkhanov held a master class for students on the topic «Secrets of becoming a universal journalist».
On April 5, 2018, a correspondent of Khabar 24 TV channel G.Zhantasova held a master class for students on the topic: «rights and duties of a journalist».
In order to explain the features of journalism and the role of the state language in the media, on April 16, 2018, the chief editor of the Almaty regional newspaper «Ogni Alatau» Idigov Atsalim Salamovich met with students of the specialty of journalism. During the meeting, issues of journalistic activity, its principle and quality, as well as the importance of language in the life of the country were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the journalist answered current questions from students.
On April 19, at the workshop square of Zhetisu TV channel, a master class on the theme «Formula for women’s success» was held with the participation of a journalist, Director of the media School «Kazmedia ortalygy» Mahabbat Esen and the winner of the nomination «Businessman of the year», Director of the sewing shop «Jef Tailor» Gauhar Utelbaeva. The round table was attended by journalists of the 1st year of Zhetysu state University. During the master class, Mahabbat Esen revealed to students how to achieve their dreams, and Gauhar Utebayeva, in turn, shared her secrets in business. On may 4, 2019, journalist, news anchor of the national TV channel «Kazakhstan» K. Doszhan, head of the Almaty Bureau K.Hangeldin held a master class on the topic «Rules of working live». On may 4, 2019, a correspondent of Khabar 24 TV channel in London gave a lecture to students «on the basics of media management».
28 January 2019 at the branch of the Еducational Programs of Journalism and Information «Workshop» the Deputy chief of management on Affairs of art of the limited liability company «Zhas Orken» well-known journalist Zh.Abdilda and leading Kazakh radio, the Journalist G.Bostan conducted media training on «the аge of misinformation and the responsibility of a journalist» for students majoring in journalism.
One of the highlights of 2019 can rightly be considered a media training «Thematic journalism and new trends», held at the pavilion of the Zhetysu TV Channel, conducted by the Еducational Programs of Journalism and Information, where the Central person was a guest-a celebrity of national significance, a journalist of the newspaper «Egemen Kazakhstan» Kalmahanbet Mukametkali.

During the master class, Samal Meiram shared her TV journalism experience, which helped her achieve what students learn in theory. Thanks to her personal skills, she told how a journalist should be present for a talk show, as well as act and solve related problems. For example, she cited several graduates: «looking for myself», «new hopes of the New year». At the end of the master class, students asked questions and commented on the work of the journalist.
