CAREER AND EMPLOYMENT CENTER

The purpose of the Career and Employment Center:

The Career and Employment Center is a structural unit of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov and operates in accordance with the charter of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. In the direction of the center’s work – the promotion of employment of graduates, the organization and quality of career guidance for university entrants.

- expansion of social partnerships, strengthening the university's ties with schools and other educational organizations, industry and science;
- Assess the needs of educational institutions in Almaty region for specialists and assist in the employment of university graduates;
- Assistance in employment and career development of graduates and students of the university.

- together with the faculties to ensure the planning and organization of vocational guidance and employment of graduates;
- together with the departments, the organization of events with educational organizations and enterprises for the purpose of career guidance and employment of graduates;
- Identification of data by the Department of Education of Almaty region on the basis of the demand for specialties in a particular region and industry;
- Organization and holding of job fairs for university graduates;
- Together with the Financial Center to organize outreach work for graduates studying on the basis of state educational grants;
- Conduct a survey of employers, school principals, school leavers, university graduates to monitor the need for specialties;
- Development of competitive training through the organization of vocational guidance in cooperation with the Center "Zhetysu Daryny" to increase the number of holders of "Altyn Belgi" by 22%, to encourage Olympiad winners and gifted, talented schoolchildren to enter the university during events;
- Determining the need for specialists in all specialties in Almaty region through the Coordination and Analysis of Employment of graduates and the implementation of training of specialists needed in the labor market of Almaty region and increase the employment of graduates in all educational programs of the university by 80-83%;
- The development of the activities of the Alumni Association "Zhetysu University" and work with graduates.
