At Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, the multifunctional “Zhetysu Hall,” named in honor of the university’s patron, public figure, and renowned entrepreneur Kuanysh Madiuly Azhmaganbetov, was officially inaugurated in a ceremonial opening event.
The significant occasion brought together the university community, representatives of government and public institutions, members of the intellectual community, students, as well as employees of Kainar-AKB LLP.
The renovated “Zhetysu Hall” is now more than simply a venue for cultural events — it has been transformed into a modern multifunctional center dedicated to the creative, scientific, and spiritual development of students. The hall has been fully equipped with advanced technical facilities, state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, and contemporary furnishings. This important initiative was made possible through the direct sponsorship of Kainar-AKB LLP, whose contribution significantly strengthened the university’s material and technical infrastructure.
During the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Board – Rector Yermek Buribayev delivered a speech highlighting the invaluable contribution of the late Kuanysh Madiuly Azhmaganbetov to the development and growth of the university.
As part of the event, the university community expressed special appreciation to Yerbol Kuanyshuly Azhmaganbetov, Director General of Kainar-AKB LLP. His initiative to comprehensively modernize the university’s assembly hall — including major renovation works, the installation of new furniture, and the provision of essential technical equipment in accordance with modern standards — was recognized as a remarkable act of support for education and culture.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution, Yerbol Kuanyshuly Azhmaganbetov was awarded the honorary title of “Honorary Professor” of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.
