Currently, on the official website of Zhetysu University, in the «Virtual University» section, only the phone numbers of department heads are listed, starting with the rector’s office. In other words, this tab does not perform its function, but the function of the «Call – center»
In addition, we conducted a survey of 1st year students who entered the Higher School of Technical Sciences this year. 106 out of 169 students went online and searched for information about our university. Since the applicants did not find specific information, most of them did not know that the university has a swimming pool, 3 dormitories and a military department. That is why we believe that it is necessary to supplement this package, which will show all the advantages and opportunities of our university.
It is also important to note that we do not just take photos or video reviews of university buildings and mount them, we create a full-fledged copy of the university, that is, 3D models. We will simulate classrooms inside the university and organize virtual access to them. The following photos show the very first stage of work on modeling the educational building No. 2
Project goal: Creation of three-dimensional models of each building and development of a virtual 3D tour of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov
Expected results:
• A 3D model of all university facilities will be created;
• A virtual tour of the created models is organized;
• The result will be posted on the university’s website.
