On February 20, 2025, the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies organized the intellectual game “Aqyl Battle: Linguistic Mastermind” for second-year students. The competition involved students from groups SHTQ 211, SHTQ 212, SHTQ 213, and IYAR 211, and the event became an engaging and informative way to enhance their English language skills. The main goal of the intellectual game was to develop students’ critical thinking, listening, and speaking skills in English. The game consisted of three stages. In the first stage, students introduced their team name, slogan, and captain, with the most creative presentations earning the highest scores. This stage focused on creativity and self-presentation skills. In the second stage, participants were asked to find synonyms for English words and decode proverbs and sayings. This stage was designed to test students’ vocabulary, speed of response, and English proficiency. The third stage was a quest, where students solved tasks and codes at various levels, demonstrating their logical thinking abilities and English language skills.
