OFFICE OF SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS AND TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION

Purpose of the Office: to ensure the effective utilization of the University’s scientific potential for conducting research and scientific innovation activities within the framework of implementing Strategic Direction 2 of the Development Program of the Non-Profit Joint Stock Company “Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University” for 2023–2029.

organization of work and oversight of the implementation of research projects funded through grant and program-targeted funding provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK) and other organizations;
organization and holding of competitions for scientific projects under internal grants funded from the University's own funds;
preparation of annual reports on research activities and information materials for the University's management, as well as materials requested by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK), the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS RK), and JSC “National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation” (NCSTE);
improvement of the quality of scientific human resources and development of scientific staff mobility through the early involvement of the most talented students in research projects, as well as the active engagement of postdoctoral researchers and research professors;
organization of webinars, workshops, and other events aimed at providing consultation and support to participants in research projects and programs;
organization of support and mentoring for startups initiated by students and faculty members, including mentorship and consultation on commercialization;
interaction and coordination with government organizations on matters related to the implementation of research projects and programs;
ensuring conditions for the integration of science, education, and innovation.

provision of information on grants for research projects to faculty members, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduate students;
organization of university employees' participation in national and regional research competitions, as well as scientific competitions organized by other organizations, for research grants;
provision of consultations and support to faculty members, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduate students on the registration of research projects;
analysis of the implementation of research projects and studies, and generalization of the University's experience in research activities;
preparation of materials for the development of the required documentation and annual reports on the implementation of research and development activities, as well as coordination, consultation, and oversight of their implementation;
implementation of activities aimed at identifying and supporting talented researchers and promoting the professional and scientific development of young scientists;
organization of consultations and other activities on the commercialization of research and innovation results for students and employees, including seminars and master classes, as well as participation in information, promotional, and exhibition activities;
organization of activities in strict compliance with the legislative and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan governing the activities of higher and postgraduate education institutions;
ensuring the implementation of the University's strategic development priorities and achievement of key performance indicators within the scope of the Office's responsibilities;
ensuring and monitoring the quality of the Project Office's activities and managing risks within the scope of its responsibilities.
