development, maintenance, repair of information and technical platform facilities in accordance with future and current plans of the university;
participation in the implementation and improvement of information and communications technology tools.
Ensuring the functionality of the university's corporate computer network (hereinafter referred to as CCN) and access to the global Internet.
Administration of the university's CCN.
Monitoring the state and security of the network and monitoring network equipment.
Ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the ring topology, consisting of the university's mainline networks and network equipment in server rooms.
Installation and maintenance of video surveillance cameras.
Monitoring the functionality of the access control system.

maintenance and repair of computer equipment (CE), office equipment and technical training equipment (TTE) of the university;
actuation of CE, office equipment and TTE, taking measures to comply with their correct operation, restoration in case of failures;
installation of computer programs of general purpose;
formation of recommendations and offers on effective use of resources of the computer equipment of the university, on updating and choice of technical means, drawing up specifications;
мonitoring, prevention of CE;
technical support, support of scientific council meetings, rectory and other events of various levels.
Commissioning of network hardware tools and antivirus software for the university's corporate computer network, their operation, recovery in case of failures, administration of the address space, and collection of statistics on the usage of the corporate computer network by users and network traffic load, as well as inter-network routing.

The material platform in the form of technical means is serviced by the information and technical services department consisting of 6 staff units (head Zh. Uzdenbayev)

In 2019/21 priority criteria for updating the university's computer equipment were:

- purchase of high-resource equipment;

- gradual and continuous;

- the priority of equipping the educational process (computer classes, reading rooms, classrooms).
