GOALS
- Development, technical maintenance, and repair of information and technical platform resources in accordance with the university’s strategic and current plans;
- Ensuring reliable and uninterrupted operation of the university’s information and technical infrastructure, including computer classrooms, office equipment, and workstations of staff and students;
- Providing technical assistance and консультации to faculty members, staff, and students on issues related to the use of computers, software, and access to information resources;
- Conducting scheduled technical maintenance, repair, and modernization of equipment in computer classrooms, laboratories, and administrative units;
- Organizing and supporting the procurement of equipment, including participation in the preparation of technical specifications.
FUNCTIONS
- Technical maintenance and repair of computer equipment, office equipment, and technical teaching aids of the university;
- Technical support of the ongoing educational process, including examination periods, testing, and other events held in computer classrooms;
- Installation of general-purpose computer software;
- Monitoring and preventive maintenance of computer equipment; preparation of technical specifications for purchased equipment and acceptance of equipment;
- Participation in inventory procedures, write-off, relocation, and acceptance/transfer of computer equipment;
- Development of recommendations and proposals for the efficient use of the university’s computer resources, as well as for updating and selecting technical equipment, including preparation of specifications;
- Technical support for meetings of the Academic Council, Rectorate, and other events of various levels;
ACHIEVEMENTS
The material platform in the form of technical means is serviced by the information and technical services department consisting of 6 staff units (head Zh. Uzdenbayev)
In 2019/21 priority criteria for updating the university's computer equipment were:
- purchase of high-resource equipment;
- gradual and continuous;
- the priority of equipping the educational process (computer classes, reading rooms, classrooms).
