LABORATORY OF ROBOTICS AND MECHATRONICS
The goal of the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory is to develop innovative
scientific and applied projects.
- development of innovative scientific and applied projects in the field of robotics;
- performance of research, developmental and technological works.
- modeling and design of robotic and electronic devices;
- software development for projects in the field of robotics;
- consultation on the work of robotics clubs;
- organization of competitions and olympiads in robotics.
The first place was taken by the team "Super Robot" of the specialized lyceum No. 24 for gifted children of the city of Taldykorgan. The regional robotics Olympiad has become an annual event.
The robotics and mechatronics laboratory has moved to a spacious room equipped with all the necessary equipment.
The I place in the competition of innovative ideas and start-up projects "Jetisý - Startup" was taken by the students of the robotics club Yessimzhanova Erkezhan and Zhakupov Nurym with the project "4Duino".
The laboratory participated in the competition of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov for grant financing of projects for commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities of young scientists "Jas ǵalym" with the project "Scavenger". The main goal of the project is: creation of an autonomous robot for assembling plastic bottles, in order to reduce the level of environmental pollution with plastic. The ecology of our planet is undoubtedly suffering from the activities of humanity, and the problem of plastic is currently very acute. Our idea is to collect plastic bottles in places where this plastic should not be, namely in tourist areas, parks, coastal areas and roadside areas. Our robot will work tirelessly collecting bottles and unloading them in a certain place. It is assumed that the robot will be completely autonomous. This kind of system has no analogues in the world.
The laboratory participated in the competition of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov for grant financing of projects on commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities of young scientists «Jas ǵalym» with the project "SmartParking". The main goal of the project is to create a parking management system using machine vision for optimal use of parking spaces. No city can be called a Smart city if there is no smart parking in it. Smart parking today is something more than a necessary element of urban infrastructure. Intelligent parking allows people to find free parking spaces quickly and easily. Imagine a tool that would allow you to effortlessly get a clear idea of where you can find free parking spaces or reserve them in advance. It is assumed that the SmartParking access system will be completely independent of the human factor, that is, completely autonomous. Our system recognizes not only by the number of the car, but also by the driver's face. This kind of system has no analogues in the world.
On December 21-22, 2022, the Almaty Arena hosted the annual Robotics and Innovative Technologies Championship for the cup of Governor of the Almaty city names as Almaty TechCup 2022.
Groups of students of IS-211 Zhansugurov College were attended by: Azamatovich Mukhamedzhan, Tolegenov Anuar, Zhumash Miras. Heads: Ibraimov A. S. Laboratory of robotics and mechatronics Higher School of technical sciences, Iskakova S. M. Teacher of Computer Science Zhansugurov College.
In the Engineering Project nomination, our MMA team was awarded a diploma of the third degree, as well as certificates for educational grant at the “Satbayev University” technical university. The team came up with the project robot "Scout", which is designed for reconnaissance and search operations.
The laboratory participated in the competition of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov for grant financing of projects on commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities of young scientists «Jas ǵalym» with the project "SafeGuard". The main goal of the project is to develop an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle for monitoring and protecting territories using computer vision.
An autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) will be used to monitor and protect territories in places where it is difficult or impossible to install static video surveillance. The flight of an autonomous UAV can be planned according to the time of patrol, as well as the coverage of areas of responsibility.
The compact and fast UAV can move freely over any terrain. With sensors on board, it easily bypasses any objects without the risk of an accident. The UAV will be able to conduct video surveillance at night with a night vision camera.
In the competition of innovative ideas and projects Zhetysu – Startup 2024, the III place was taken by students of the robotics club Muhamedzhan Azamatuly and Zhanakhmet Tursynakhmet with the designer project "Scout Reconnaissance and search robot".
