On April 29, 2024, as part of the Month of Science, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Nurgabyl D. held a seminar on «Mathematical literacy: problems and prospects». The seminar was attended by undergraduates, doctoral students of the ЕP «Mathematics», as well as the teaching staff of the Higher School of Natural Sciences.
During the seminar, participants discussed current problems and prospects for the development of mathematical literacy among students, exchanged experiences to develop specific recommendations and strategies to improve mathematical education and develop students’ skills of rational thinking and the application of mathematical knowledge in everyday life.
During the seminar, the participants noted the role of mathematical training of students in the modern world.
