Scientific and methodological seminar for geography teachers dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov
On April 6, 2022, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the university, the Higher School of Natural Sciences, together with the Educational and Methodological Center for the Development of Education of the Almaty Region, held a scientific and methodological seminar on the theme “Methods for the development of functional literacy of schoolchildren based on the use of electronic educational resources in geography lessons”. The seminar was opened by the Dean of the Higher School of Natural Sciences c.g.s., Associate Professor Zhanatbekova Nazym Zhanatbekkyzy, who spoke in detail about the achievements of the university over 50 years. The seminar was attended by teachers of geography of the cities of Taldykorgan, Tekeli, Aksu, Eskeldinsky, Koksu, Kerbulak, Karatal regions. An important event was held by c.g.s Tokpanov Yerkin Aipovich, methodologist of the regional educational and methodological center for the development of education Galymzhan Dikhambayev.
During the scientific and methodological seminar, effective methods and technologies for developing the functional literacy of students, creating PISA tasks based on the effective use of electronic Internet maps in geography lessons were considered.
