It is noteworthy that in Kazakhstan in 2022, 483,755.5 tons of plastic waste were generated. In the same year, 90,079 tons of plastic, plastic, polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate waste were sorted. This represents 18% of the volume of the resulting residue. At the same time, the volume of plastic waste sent for recycling amounted to 17,199 tons and amounted to 3% compared to the volume of waste generation, the volume of sorted plastic reached 19%. Exports of plastic waste in 2020 amounted to 5,962.5 tons. Since January 1, 2019, a ban on the disposal of plastic has been introduced at landfills in Kazakhstan. It is worth noting that last year the competent authorities concluded a memorandum on the introduction of paid use of plastic bags in the country. But there is still enough work in the country. Today, one of the important issues in the regulation of household waste is the inadequate development of interaction between government agencies for the collection and processing of waste, collectors, processors, and plastic waste generators.
Novelty: Plastic is a valuable raw material for the production of new products that can be recycled several times. In this regard, it is very important that plastic waste is collected and processed in large quantities. In recent years, the tradition of recycling has been very important. This proves that this is the best way to reduce the amount of waste that pollutes the environment. Although the consumer makes this task a little more difficult, more and more people are deciding to remodel certain elements of their homes. Although many seemed useless, they can be used to avoid abandonment. “The second life of plastic” is an interesting topic for practical application (this knowledge can improve the ecology of our planet).
Recycling plastic can be used not only to improve the environmental situation, but also for everyday needs. An old problem can only be solved with new solutions.
