Zhetysu university named after Ilyas Zhansugurov hosted a meeting with a well-known statesman, scientist, Doctor of philology, professor Myrzatai Zholdasbekuly.
Chairman of the board – rector Yermek Buribayev briefed the students on the life path of a public figure.
“Myrzatai Zholdasbekovich is a scientist who has worked hard to turn Shanyrak-Zhetysu university into a fundamental educational institution. In 1977-1987, he was the rector of the then Taldykorgan Institute of pedagogy, he made a great contribution to the establishment of the university named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, the opening of the poet’s museum,” he emphasized the merits of the figure to the University.
Myrzatai Zholdasbekuly told about the past and recalled his future with nostalgia. Speaking about the history of Zhetysu University, he noted that it has its own place in the Republic. The student, a figure who puts the interests of the nation high, gave a blessing to the young people, saying that they should be friendly, educated and kind.
“We are the leader who showed us the way and contributed to our formation as a person,” Musa Bisenkulov, serikbol Shynybayev, Altyn Bakradеnova thanked their teachers.
At the end of the event, the rector of the University Yermek Buribayev put on the badge “Ilyas Zhansugurov” and covered his shoulders with a cape.
Deputy akim of Zhetysu region Marlen Kulbayev noted that this day is a historical event and expressed gratitude on behalf of the Zhetysu public.
