In this lesson, the classification and characteristics of the most important Citrus fruits have been described. In particular, the three original Citrus species were introduced (Pomelo, Tangerine and Cedar), together with the most important Citrus hybrids. In addition to Citrus fruits, other important fruit species belong to the so-called “sub-tropical” fruits. Among these, the main characteristics of Avocado, Mango, and Papaya fruits were described.
