On October 15, 2024, Taurbekova Ainur Sapashovna, a lecturer at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, organized the event “Berdibek Sokpakbayev – Kazakh Children’s Writer,” dedicated to the 1st to 3rd-year students of the educational program 6B01301 “Pedagogy of Primary Education” and members of the women’s club “Kyzgaldak”, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Berdibek Sokpakbayev’s birth. At the event, the content and educational significance of the works of this prominent Kazakh children’s writer were analyzed. Poems from the textbook “Adebiettik oku” were presented, an excerpt from the film “My Name is Kozha,” which is among the best works of Kazakh children’s literature and participated in the international festival in Cannes (France), was shown. During the organization of the event, the dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology and the teaching staff participated in an interview about the writer and shared their memories. This event holds special educational significance as it also addressed the issue of braiding hair among girls, in line with the writer’s character Zhanar, and announced the action “Burymdy Kyz” among the female students of the faculty
