At the Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugirov on the eve of the Republic Day, on October 25, held the action “My Flag”.
The ceremony of raising the state flag attended by the commanders of the military department, teachers, staff and students of the university.
Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy Bolat Seriyev emphasized the importance of the patriotic event aimed at popularizing state symbols and congratulated on Republic Day, which is considered the beginning of our country. “The Republic Day is a great symbol of independence. In 1990, on this day, adopted the Declaration of Independence of Kazakhstan. This declaration laid the foundation for the constitutional development of the country,” said the vice-rector.
Nurzhan Koishybekov, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, who noted that love for the Motherland is the main value of youth, spoke on behalf of the youth of the university.
The soldiers lined up along the line raised the National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sang the National Anthem and raised our blue flag into the sky. The purpose of the event is to glorify the significance of the national holiday and awaken the patriotism of students.
