Scientific internship on the MOCCA project

From November 01 to December 30, 2024, PhD, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Humanities of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov Baigabatova N.K. and manager of the Office of Scientific Projects Kashaganova A. B. undergo a 2-month scientific internship at Lund University of the Kingdom of Sweden. Lund University, one of the 100 world universities, was ranked 75th in the QS ranking in 2024 and 95th in the Times Higher Education ranking https://www.topuniversities.com/universities/lund-university

N. Baigabatova and A. Kashaganova received internships at the world’s leading university as participants in the MOCCA project. The MOCCA project, funded by the European Commission’s HORIZON program, is a study designed to contribute to global and national efforts to understand and combat corruption by conducting interdisciplinary research on multi-level corruption discipline in five post-Soviet Central Asian countries. The project is being implemented by scientists from 9 European and 10 Central Asian universities and scientific organizations https://www.mocca.lu.se/mocca-project.

During the internship, consultations were held with the scientific director of the MOCCA project, Professor Rustamjon Urinboev, and further plans for the implementation of the project were discussed. N. Baigabatova and A. Kashaganova made presentations on research within the framework of the project, prepared articles and presented their scientific materials. He also took part in scientific events of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Lund University and had the opportunity to share experiences with European partners https://www.soclaw.lu.se/en/research/guest-researchers
