THERE IS ALWAYS A PLACE FOR CREATIVITY IN LIFE!

Last week, a number of interesting events took place in the student life of the first-year students of the specialty “Russian Language and Literature (IP)”, related to immersion in the world of the future profession. These are interactive classes on the course “Introduction to Literary Studies” and exciting creative contests related to the study of the first literary discipline.

Literary History, Literary Theory, and Literary Criticism took part in the “competition” of philological sciences. Then Bibliography, Attribution, Textual Criticism, and Paleography appeared on the stage, which proved to the audience that although they are auxiliary literary disciplines, they are very important and necessary!

The next day, the students of the RYAL-112 group became participants of the art festival. Five teams represented five types of art – painting, architecture, theater, cinema, and music. The presentation form was very free, and the students were able to let their imagination run wild. The audience was offered a theatrical production, an architectural collage, a medley of musical masterpieces from different eras, and an impromptu film festival that introduced the history of cinematography. The contestants were able to look into the creative workshop of Leonardo da Vinci and see one of the titans of the Renaissance at work.

According to Irina Gennadievna Chsherbovskikh, Candidate of Philological Sciences, organizer of the festival, “all the images embodied by the students were magnificent! But the loudest ovations went to the great Leonardo (Akylbekova Ayanat), the beautiful Audrey Hepburn (Bekturganova Altynai) and the brilliant Charlie Chaplin (Tursumbai Arai). The audience smiled at the hapless actor (Chalbaev Magdi) and the angry director (Melisova Amina). The image of Ruslana Aydyldaeva filled me with horror.

Since the first days of the academic semester, first-year students have shown the ability to solve any complex tasks creatively and in a good mood, combining deep immersion in a serious topic with humor and jokes. They fully agree with the thesis of the great Renaissance humanist Vittorino da Feltre, who believed that one should study with pleasure and called his school a House of Joy.”
