Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov announces a competition for academic mobility among 1st and 2nd-year undergraduate students for studying at partner foreign universities in the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan will cover visa expenses, accommodation, insurance, and consular fees.
Requirements for Participants:
- GPA higher than 3.0;
- English proficiency level of at least B2 (at least IELTS 5.5);
- Enrollment in the 1st or 2nd year at the time of application.
Documents required for participation:
- A student’s application in the form approved by the Ministry of Science and High education of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s order No. 152, dated April 20, 2011, on the organization of the educational process under the Credit System (attached);
- A completed questionnaire of a Kazakhstan citizen intending to study abroad (attached);
- Parental consent letter (attached);
- A copy of the Kazakhstan passport;
- An official transcript of the current academic performance (to be obtained from the Registration Office);
- A document confirming the level of foreign language proficiency: IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5);
- Copies of certificates, diplomas, or awards for participation in national or international events in the chosen field of study (if available);
- A recommendation letter from the dean of the faculty and the head of the department;
- A motivation letter (in Kazakh, Russian, or English);
- A document confirming the student’s status as a member of a large family (if applicable);
- A document confirming the absence of the student’s parents (for orphans or students under guardianship, if applicable);
- A document confirming the student’s disability (if applicable);
- Four 3×4 photographs.
Applications should be submitted by mail to the university office with the note “For participation in the Academic Mobility Competition” or through the egov.kz electronic portal. The postal address is: Taldykorgan, 040009, Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.
Due to the limited deadline for submitting applications to partner foreign universities, the acceptance of documents will be carried out until April 11, 2025 (inclusive).
