


As part of the grant funding provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the project titled “The Legacy of Ilyas Zhansugurov in the Development of the Humanities: In the Context of the 21st Century” (2023–2025, IRN AP19680053), Lecturer of the Department of History and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines, Candidate of Historical Sciences Y.O. Bulanov undertook the research trip to the city of Almaty from April 8 to 12, 2025.
During the research trip, research work was carried out in the Department of Rare Books and Manuscripts of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Special attention was given to the study and analysis of materials from the personal collections of Ilyas Zhansugurov (Collection No. 1368) and Fatima Gabitova (Collection No. 1012), where valuable information of significant academic interest was gathered. The findings obtained during the trip not only enrich the scientific foundation of the research topic but also open up new horizons for the development of the humanities. They contribute to a renewed understanding of the legacy of Ilyas Zhansugurov and its significance to contemporary science, particularly in the field of historical studies.
