At the Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, the traditional Rector’s Cup in football among students was successfully held. This tournament is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth, strengthening team spirit, and enhancing athletic skills.
Teams from five university faculties, along with a team from Zhansugurov College, participated in the competition. Over the course of two days, the teams engaged in intense and competitive matches.
The final results were as follows:
• 1st place — Zhansugurov College team,
• 2nd place — Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology team,
• 3rd place — Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences team.
Individual students were recognized with awards in the categories of “Best Player,” “Best Goalkeeper,” and “Best Striker.” Winners received diplomas and trophies.
The Rector’s Cup is one of the key events at Zhetysu University that fosters students’ interest in sports and contributes to the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals.
