At the XIII Summer Universiade held among higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students of Zhetysu University delivered outstanding athletic performances and secured prize-winning positions.
In the women’s 1500-meter race, Ayana Bolatbekkyzy, a first-year student of the “Physical Education and Sports” program, claimed the gold medal. In the same discipline for men, third-year student Aibol Omarov also took first place, becoming the event’s champion. Additionally, Akbayan Nurmamet earned a bronze medal by finishing third in the same race.
In the 4×100 meter relay, Zhetysu University’s team won third place, joining the ranks of the Universiade medalists. The team included Akbayan Nurmamet, Ayana Bolatbekkyzy, Anel Nurmukhamet, and Saniya Kudaibergen.
These athletic achievements reflect the university’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals. Zhetysu University remains dedicated to promoting both mass participation and professional sports in the future.
