Today, the faculty and staff of Zhetysu University honored the winners of the XIII Summer Universiade of the Republic of Kazakhstan among higher education institutions, which took place in the city of Turkistan.
Chairman of the Board — Rector Yermek Buribayev expressed his gratitude to the student-athletes and their coaches for their outstanding performance.
“Seventy-six universities from across the country took part in the Universiade held in Turkistan, the spiritual capital of our nation. Among them, Zhetysu University proudly secured 8th place. This is a remarkable achievement. In a highly competitive environment, our student-athletes demonstrated excellent preparation and won a total of 18 medals. Such a brilliant victory is a matter of pride not only for our university, but for the entire region,” said the rector.
Student-athletes and their coaches, who promote a healthy lifestyle and contribute to the development of mass sports, were awarded the honorary badge “For Achievements in Sports” and received monetary prizes.
