On June 19-20, 2025, the Center for Competencies and Complementary Education jointly with the Department of Economics and Service held a seminar on “Financial literacy: tools, risks and personal planning.” The seminar was organized within the framework of the Asyl Kazyna University project in order to increase the level of financial culture among university teachers (55+). The seminar was attended by 18 teachers from various faculties.
During the seminar, issues such as the basics of financial security and protection against financial fraud, personal and family budget management, savings and investment mechanisms in the modern economy, lending: pros and cons, digital financial instruments: advantages, risks and controls were discussed.
The seminar was conducted by the lecturer of the Department of Economics and Service, Candidate of Economics Seisekenova Meirambala Beisembekovna. The participants were particularly interested in the block of answers to questions, in which real-life situations were discussed.
