Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, visited Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov as part of his official working trip. The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University, Yermek Buribayev, introduced the Minister to the operations of the university’s admissions office.
During the visit, the Minister personally spoke with the technical secretaries responsible for processing applicants’ documents across various faculties. Maral Zhumabayeva, a specialist from the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts, provided a detailed overview of the admissions process and demonstrated how the electronic registration and document processing system functions.
Sayasat Nurbek also toured the university grounds and inspected the facilities provided for prospective students and their parents. He positively noted the well-organized infrastructure, including the installation of tents, additional benches, and water coolers to ensure comfort during wait times.
The Minister emphasized that the number of young people seeking higher education in Kazakhstan is growing each year, and that the development of university infrastructure and the creation of a student-friendly environment are key factors in the sustainable progress of the country.
At Zhetysu University, the admissions process has been organized at a high standard. The admissions office is staffed with 30 technical secretaries who ensure uninterrupted document processing, applicant consultations, and technical support.
Document submission is conducted daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The process operates in accordance with a set schedule, allowing for efficient management of the applicant flow and timely processing of all submissions.
To streamline operations, the university has implemented an electronic queue system. Applicants receive a ticket with a scheduled time slot, which helps prevent crowding, saves time, and improves the overall quality of service.
The Minister highly praised the measures taken to create a comfortable and transparent admissions environment, commending the efficiency and effectiveness of the university’s organizational efforts.
