On July 25–26, the city of Taldykorgan hosted the international open tournament “Clash of Legends” in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
The event brought together athletes over the age of 35 — former champions who once proudly represented their country — returning once again to the wrestling mat.
In the 70 kg weight category, Kanat Shonrakov, coach of the Sports Club at I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, claimed a well-deserved 1st place victory.
Kanat Shonrakov is a Master of Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan in freestyle wrestling and a silver medalist at the World Championship.
