As part of the schedule of meetings of the deputies of the Majilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the population, Bolat Kerimbek met with the staff of the Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov. The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University Ermek Buribayev spoke about the purpose of the visit of the people’s representative Bolat Bakbergenuly to the region.
In his speech, Bolat Kerimbek proudly noted that he is a graduate of the Zhetysu University and shared his experience as a deputy of the Majilis. He analyzed the current socio-economic development of the country, emphasized the role of the Parliament as a legislative body, and also focused on the importance of existing and adopted laws. The deputy paid special attention to the possibilities for improving the social situation of the population and measures to attract young people to science and education.
During the meeting, he listened to the proposals and opinions of Zhetysu teachers and scientists. A veteran of the legal field, teacher Bolat Moldabekov proposed introducing the subject “Legal Culture” into the school curriculum to form legal knowledge and skills from an early age. Candidate of Historical Sciences Erzhan Bulanov drew attention to the need to develop domestic tourism and suggested paying attention to little-known, but historically significant and sacred places of the Zhetysu region. The Majilis deputy promised to take these issues under control.
Summing up the meeting, Chairman of the Board – Rector Ermek Buribayev shared plans to create an endowment fund to provide funding for educational, scientific, social programs and university projects, and thanked Bolat Bakbergenuly for the meaningful meeting.
