A meeting on the topic “The Role of Science and Education in Implementing the Idea of National Digital Transformation” was held at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
The main purpose of the event was to discuss the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the people of Kazakhstan: “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation.”
The discussion brought together the university community, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Zhetysu regional branch of the “AMANAT” Party Askhat Dosmukhambetov and Chairman of the Party’s Veterans’ Council Meirman Tleuberlinov.
The meeting was moderated by a member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy, Bolat Seriyev, who emphasized the relevance of the tasks outlined in the Address.
“The President stressed that within three years Kazakhstan should become a fully digital state. He also highlighted the importance of enhancing the efficiency of satellite monitoring of agricultural lands using artificial intelligence. Our university is carrying out systematic work in this direction. Introducing digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies is particularly important for the agrarian region of Zhetysu. University scientists are actively engaged in this field, contributing to strengthening the economic and scientific potential of the region,” – noted the Vice-Rector.
During the meeting, Director of the Department of Science and Commercialization Lazzat Karasholakova, Head of the Department of Process Digitalization and Automation Daulet Batyrbekov, and Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics, PhD, Galym Teleuov delivered presentations and shared their proposals.
The participants discussed the application of artificial intelligence capabilities, increasing the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex, implementing comprehensive digital transformation, as well as development directions within the framework of the “AI-Sana” project.
