Today, Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov hosted the student induction ceremony for first-year students – “Freshman Party: Zhetysu Style.”
The event became a bright and unforgettable moment for young people taking their first steps into university life.
Chairman of the Board – Rector, Doctor of Law, Professor Ermek Buribayev congratulated the students and solemnly handed over the university flag to the freshmen.
“Dear students, I sincerely congratulate you on becoming part of Zhetysu University! Studying here means not only acquiring new knowledge, but also finding new friends, nurturing new dreams, and opening new opportunities. May each of your days be filled with quality learning and unforgettable memories,” – the rector emphasized.
During the evening, freshmen were introduced to various creative groups and student clubs active at the university. The names of alumni who have achieved success in different fields and become the pride of the university, including world-class athletes, were also highlighted.
On behalf of the first-year students, the student oath was taken by Madi Talgatbek and Ulyana Fedorovich.
The festive event continued with a concert program featuring artists of the Regional Philharmonic.
It is worth noting that in the new academic year, the university enrolled 1,911 students, including 1,586 undergraduates, 285 master’s students, and 40 doctoral students.
