An informative meeting on the topic “Pyramid schemes as a form of fraud” was held at the Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov for students of the Faculty of Humanities.
The main goal of the event was to protect young people from modern types of fraud, to foster a culture of cybersecurity, and to improve their financial and legal literacy.
The meeting was attended by Captain of Police, Senior Operative Officer of the Cybercrime Counteraction Department of the Zhetysu Regional Police Department Yernat Abdrakhimov, as well as Head of the Card Business Center Department at Halyk Bank Alibek Kerimbayev.
During the event, participants received explanations about key forms of fraud and modern ways to protect themselves from them. Particular attention was paid to financial crimes on the Internet, fake social media pages, fake messages and malicious links. Students were offered practical recommendations on ensuring personal safety.
