A special cultural event was held at the Zhetysu Museum of Local Lore named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbayuly. The second-year students of the Faculty of Journalism of Zhetysu University participated in the educational program and were deeply inspired. As part of the celebration of the 190th anniversary of poet Baktybai Zholbarysula, the grand opening of the traveling exhibition “Asset is a poet, the name is known throughout Alash” took place. The exhibition was prepared by the department of the literary museum of Asset Naimanbayuly at the State Historical, Cultural, Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve “Zhidaybai-Borili”.
The exhibition featured valuable materials and exhibits telling about the life and creative path of the famous folk singer-composer and poet Asset Naimanbayuly. The exhibition presents household items used by the poet and his family: a wallet, a copper legend, a shaku and a cast-iron mold, giving a rich insight into the daily life of the last century.
The students of the Faculty of Journalism showed great interest in historical artifacts and gained new knowledge. “We became closer to Asset’s life path and felt his contribution to Kazakh art. It really inspired us,” the participants shared.
