At I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, a football tournament titled “Young Athletes of an Independent Country” was held among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Republic Day on October 25.
The main objectives of the event were:
• promoting a healthy lifestyle;
• developing individual athletic skills;
• strengthening students’ health and communication.
According to the results of the competition, the winning teams were:
1st place — the “Kälpe” team, composed of 3rd-year students
2nd place — the “Zhetysu” team, composed of 4th-year students
3rd place — the “Nomad” team, composed of 2nd-year students
