On October 23, 2025, at I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, the Faculty of Humanities held an educational hour with groups SHTQ 311 and SHTQ 313 on the topic “35th Anniversary of the Declaration on State Sovereignty.”
The purpose of the event was to explain to students the historical significance of the Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adopted on October 25, 1990, and to foster respect for the idea of independence and the formation of national consciousness.
During the class, students became acquainted with the main provisions of the Declaration and the history of the formation of an independent state. A video clip was shown, followed by a discussion and a question-and-answer session.
The students emphasized the role of sovereignty in the country’s development and freely expressed their views. At the end of the event, participants were thanked, and a conclusion was made in a patriotic spirit.
The educational hour was organized at a high level and contributed to enhancing students’ civic and national responsibility.
