Today, at the B. Rimova Taldykorgan Drama Theatre, a festive event titled “Qyran Elim – Kazakhstan” was held, organized by Zhetysu university named after I. Zhansugurov in honor of Republic Day.
During the ceremonial part of the program, Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University, Yermek Buribayev, congratulated the attendees on the national holiday and presented awards to several faculty and staff members who have significantly contributed to the development of the university.
“Republic Day holds special significance, as it symbolizes our independence and marks the origins of our statehood. This holiday expresses love for the Motherland and our aspiration for unity in building a just Kazakhstan,” emphasized Yermek Buribayev in his address.
On the occasion of the celebration, departmental awards were presented:
- N. Baigabatova, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines, received the badge “Akhmet Baitursynuly.”
- A. Galiyeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, was awarded the badge “For Contribution to the Development of the Native Language.”
- E. Tokpanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Natural Sciences, was honored with the badge “For Labor Distinction.”
- G. Zhamanayeva, Head of the Main Academic Building, and G. Zhepenova, Senior Technical Specialist of the Publishing Department, were awarded the badge “Ilyas Zhansugurov.”
- M. Zhetimov, Lecturer of the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences, and S. Mashanova, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Humanities, received the badge “Veteran of the Trade Union.”
• The Honorary Diploma “Excellent in Science” was presented to Candidate of Historical Sciences E. Bulanov and PhD, lecturer of the Department of Physics and Mathematics, E. Gavrilova.
In addition, university staff were recognized with Letters of Appreciation and Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, the Chairman of the Board – Rector, as well as from the Akim of Zhetysu Region, the Regional Maslikhat, and regional trade union organizations.
The ceremony concluded with a festive concert dedicated to Republic Day.
