On October 30, lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature Dinara Yesimbekova held a hackathon with 4th-year students as part of the discipline “Modern Pedagogical Technologies” on the topic: “Interactive Teaching Technologies: Together into the Future of Knowledge!”
The goal of the hackathon was to demonstrate in practice the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), STEM and CLIL technologies within the framework of interactive teaching methods; to develop teamwork and creative thinking skills, enhance pedagogical mastery, and design practical ideas for modernizing the educational process, followed by their public presentation.
During the first stage – “Idea Fair” the AI, STEM, and CLIL teams presented their own lesson models.
At the second stage – “Methodological Battle” team leaders answered questions about the lessons presented by their opponents. The event concluded with participants solving situational tasks.
The hackathon invited experts – PhD in Philology, lecturer G.T. Syrlybayeva, and Master’s degree holder, lecturer D. Múlik – who summarized the results of the event and shared their feedback.
Each participant received a certificate on behalf of the Rector of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov by E. Buribayev.
In addition, diplomas were awarded in the nominations “Best Innovative Project”, “Best Practical Solution”, and “Best Creative Idea.”
The winner of the hackathon was the “STEM” team, whose members received smartwatches as prizes.
