The meeting

The Government approved the “Concept for Promoting the Law and Order Ideology for 2025–2030.” Its purpose is to foster a high level of legal culture in society, reinforce citizens’ commitment to the law, and strengthen public trust in law enforcement agencies.

In this regard, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov became one of the first institutions to organize a meeting between students and specialists from regional law enforcement bodies within the framework of the “Law and Order” ideology. The event was attended by prosecutors from the Zhetysu Regional Prosecutor’s Office and experts from the Canine Service of the Zhetysu Regional Police Department.

During the meeting, a representative of the Prosecutor’s Office addressed students on ensuring the rule of law, protecting citizens’ rights and freedoms, and the importance of building legal awareness among youth.

“The document aims to improve legal literacy, ensure further access to justice, and prevent legal violations. Every citizen must not only respect the rights of others but also actively uphold legal order”, — stated Prosecutor Yalkun Ismail.

Senior canine inspector of the Zhetysu Regional Canine Service Center, Police Captain Maqsat Mamatzhanov, introduced students to the work of the canine service, including the training and preparation of service dogs and their involvement in solving various crimes. He also provided detailed information on the daily work of police officers and the key role of service dogs in ensuring public safety.

At the end of the meeting, a video was presented demonstrating how service dogs track scents, detect narcotics, and support public order.

Overall, such meetings help students develop practical legal knowledge and enhance their ability to apply legal principles effectively in real-life situations.

Initiatives aimed at promoting the “Law and Order” ideology will continue.
