Memorandum of cooperation between Zhetysu university named after I. Zhansugurov and Helios Soft

Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov and Helios Soft have signed a memorandum of strategic partnership in the field of digital education and information technologies. This agreement represents an important step toward the development and implementation of domestic IT solutions within the education system.

“This partnership prioritizes practical training, enhances students’ professional competencies, and elevates the preparation of competitive specialists in the region to a new level,” noted Yermek Buribayev, Rector of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has emphasized the importance of reducing dependence on foreign IT solutions, stating: “This figure, which has now reached 95%, must be reduced.”

In this context, the partnership between Zhetysu University and Helios Soft aligns with the country’s strategic course toward digital transformation, strengthening information security, and supporting domestic IT producers.

Under the agreement, the parties will jointly implement training programs focused on mastering the leading domestic cloud platform Favorit—an information system designed to automate accounting and management processes in state institutions.

Developed by Helios Soft LLP, the Favorit system is included in the Register of Trusted Software of the Republic of Kazakhstan and fully complies with national information security requirements. Today, more than 5,000 government institutions, including “NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC, use the Favorit system in their operations. This confirms its effectiveness, reliability, and status as one of the key tools of digital governance in the country.

As part of the partnership, Zhetysu University will introduce new courses and academic modules in the fields of V046 – Finance, Economics, Banking and Insurance, and V057 – Information Technologies.

These new courses will focus on practical mastery of modern digital tools, including the operational principles of the Favorit information system.

Additionally, short-term courses and micro-qualification programs in accounting, management, and digital technologies are planned. These initiatives will help enhance learners’ professional skills and contribute to the preparation of specialists who are in high demand in the labor market.

The cooperation between Zhetysu University and Helios Soft will make a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s human capital, advancing digital literacy, and promoting domestic IT solutions.
