On November 13–14, a volleyball tournament for the Chairman of the Board – Rector’s Cup was held among male students of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
Six teams took part in the competition, representing the Faculties of Natural and Technical Sciences, Physics and Mathematics, Pedagogy and Psychology, Law and Economics, the Humanities Faculty, as well as Zhansugurov College.
Based on individual nominations, the following players were recognized as the best:
— Tileuqabyl Maratuly — Best Defender,
— Yerkebulan Nusipbek — Best Setter,
— Arsen Amantai — Best Attacker,
— Mereke Dyussenov — Best Player of the Tournament.
According to the results of the matches, the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics took 1st place, the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences placed 2nd, and the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology came in 3rd.
The prize-winning teams and distinguished students were awarded the Chairman of the Board – Rector’s Cup of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, certificates of recognition, and valuable gifts.
