Today, at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, a meeting with students was held as part of the 2025–2030 Concept for Promoting the Ideology of Law and Order, under the theme “Strengthening Trust Between Citizens and Law Enforcement Agencies.”
The event was attended by Senior Operative Officer of the Department for Countering Drug-Related Crimes of the Zhetysu Region Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Meruert Iskakova, as well as Senior Operative Officer of the Department for Countering Cybercrime of the Zhetysu Region Police Department, Senior Police Lieutenant Zhomart Ardak.
Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy Bolat Seriyev emphasized that this meeting plays an important role in fostering the legal culture of young people.
During the meeting, Meruert Iskakova spoke about the most common types of phone and internet fraud, fake prize draws, and investment-based financial pyramids, explaining their key characteristics in detail.
Senior Police Lieutenant Zhomart Ardak delivered a presentation on current issues in cybercrime and shared essential online safety guidelines.
The experts highlighted the importance of observing safety measures and urged students to immediately contact law enforcement authorities whenever confronted with suspicious situations.
