On November 19, 2025, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence as a New Tool for the 21st Century Teacher”. The event was organized by the Faculty of Humanities in cooperation with School-Gymnasium No. 12. The seminar aimed to introduce future teachers to new possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the educational process and to discuss how digital tools can support teachers’ work and make learning more modern and effective.
The speaker was Elena Filimonova, a teacher of Russian language and literature and a master teacher at School-Gymnasium No. 12. In her presentation, she provided a detailed overview of the AI technologies available to educators today and explained how these tools can be effectively used in preparing teaching materials, assessing students’ work, and designing individual learning trajectories. She also presented practical examples of using artificial intelligence in school projects and emphasized that such tools significantly contribute to the development of students’ research skills, critical thinking, and digital literacy.
Participants noted that they received valuable information and saw real ways to integrate AI into their professional practice. The seminar became an excellent platform for exchanging experiences and once again demonstrated that the digital transformation of education opens new opportunities and tools for teachers.
