AI-Sana Programme and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education
At the Faculty of Humanities of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, an educational hour was held with students of groups SHTQ-311 and SHTQ-313 on the topic “The AI-Sana Programme and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education.” The main purpose of the event was to introduce students to the essence and significance of the national AI-Sana programme, launched on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and to highlight the role of artificial intelligence technologies in modern society and their impact on the field of education.
During the session, students were informed that the AI-Sana programme was launched in December 2024 and is aimed at training highly qualified specialists in artificial intelligence and developing the national AI ecosystem. In addition, the achievements of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov within the programme were presented — 5,400 learners completed AI-related courses on international platforms and received certificates, and information was provided on the five AI agents planned for launch in 2025.
Students discussed the possibilities of artificial intelligence, its effectiveness in the educational process, and its role in enhancing the digital competence of future teachers. They also shared their opinions on the new opportunities that the AI-Sana programme offers to young people. The event was held in a discussion format, contributing to the development of critical awareness, digital literacy, and a culture of responsible use of technology.
At the end of the educational hour, students emphasized the strategic importance of the AI-Sana programme in modernizing the country’s education system and highlighted the need for active participation in digital transformation as future professionals.
