From December 23 to December 29, 2025, Chingis Kharmyssov, the principal researcher of Project AP26104341 «Investigation of a New Spur Gear Design Based on Composite Material Using an Enhanced Tooth Contact Analysis Approach» conducted a research visit to the University of Texas at Austin (USA).
During the visit, research activities were carried out at the Cockrell School of Engineering, Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering. The work focused on the application of Raman spectroscopy to analyze material properties and the processes occurring on surfaces under contact interaction.
The visit was aimed at studying experimental approaches and data interpretation methods used in the analysis of materials and surface phenomena relevant to contact mechanics and research on composite gear transmissions.
