From January 8 to 9, 2026, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted the Winter School of Pedagogical Excellence – 2026 on the topic “Artificial Intelligence: Current State, Development Trends, and Future Prospects.”
The Winter School activities were conducted in five stages. As part of the program, on January 9, 2026, a round table titled “Mastermind: The Future Labor Market and Artificial Intelligence — New Competencies and Workforce Training” was held. The event was attended by an employer representing the educational program “Physical Culture and Sports” of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Arts — Altynai Baltabaevna Kumarova, Deputy Director for Academic and Educational Affairs of the Higher Taldykorgan Medical College (State Communal Enterprise under the Health Department of the Zhetysu Region). She delivered a presentation on the topic “Transformation in the Context of Digitalization of the Educational Process: New Approaches to Teaching.”
In addition, on January 9, 2026, during the faculty section meetings, four lecturers from the Faculty of Physical Culture and Arts participated with two presentations. At the interfaculty sectional session:
• lecturer Zh.A. Akhmetov and assistant lecturer A.Q. Abden presented a report on “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Athletes’ Physical Training”;
• lecturer, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences M.S. Myrzakanov and lecturer B.B. Akhmetov delivered a presentation titled “Integrating Artificial Intelligence into the Teaching of Painting: Pedagogical Perspectives.”
The events held within the framework of the Winter School provided an opportunity to discuss pressing issues related to the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process and to exchange practical experience.
