Italian Language Courses Launched at Zhetysu University within the Double Degree Program with Italy

On January 12, 2026, a meeting was held between the Rector of Zhetysu University, Yermek Buribayev, and students and faculty members participating in the Italian language courses.

During the meeting, the Rector emphasized the importance of foreign language proficiency within international educational programs and wished the participants success in their studies and in achieving their academic goals.

The Italian language courses officially started on January 12, 2026, and will run until July 3, 2026. The main objective of the program is to help participants achieve an A2 level of Italian language proficiency.

The courses are conducted within the framework of the Double Degree Program “Agronomy – Agricultural Sciences and Technologies”, jointly implemented by Zhetysu University and the Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM, Italy).

The courses are taught by Alessandro Grassi, Associate Professor, and teacher of the Italian language. The learning process is organized in a blended format using the Moodle learning platform and online Zoom sessions.

Faculty members and students of the Agronomy program are taking part in the courses. The initiative represents an important step in strengthening academic preparation and international cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy within the framework of the double degree program.
