On January 12, 2026, the “History” Methodological Association of the “Sh. Walikhanov Secondary School-Gymnasium No. 10” and the Department of “History and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines” of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov jointly organized a citywide scientific and practical conference titled “The Path of Shoqan – The Path of Knowledge,” dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Shoqan Walikhanov’s birth.
The conference featured speakers from the department: senior lecturer, PhD in Philosophy Bekzat Kaliyeva; Associate Professor, Candidate of Historical Sciences Gulzhan Tleubekova; and lecturer, MA Dinara Galymbaevna Karatayeva.
The department’s faculty members delivered informative presentations on topics such as “Analyzing Shoqan Walikhanov’s Personal Archival Documents Using Artificial Intelligence.” During the conference, the speakers shared their expertise and provided practical recommendations for school teachers.
