On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the prominent scholar, literary critic, and public figure Temirbek Kozhakeev, the republican competition “The World of Kozhakeev” was held at Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. This spiritually and intellectually significant event aimed to stimulate scientific research and creative initiative among young scholars and talented youth.
The event was attended by the scholar’s former students currently working at higher education institutions across the country, as well as young journalists. Speakers highlighted his strict discipline and demanding yet inspiring teaching style, spoke about his outstanding academic contributions, and presented his multifaceted personality to the younger generation.
The republican-level competition brought together around 40 students from 7 higher education institutions nationwide. Participants competed in three categories, deeply exploring Temirbek Kozhakeev’s scholarly legacy, journalistic works, and creative worldview.
According to the final results, the First Prize for “Best Scientific Project” was awarded to Madina Madi, a student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The First Prize for “Best Press Material” went to Merey Amangeldi, a student of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The “Best Video Material” nomination was won by Aibek Beisenbek, a third-year student of Zhetysu University.
