On February 6, 2026, a seminar entitled “Diagnosis and Intervention in the Special Education System: Continuity and New Approaches” was held at Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. The event brought together faculty members of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, doctoral and master’s students, as well as special education teachers, speech therapists, and psychologists.
The purpose of the seminar was to enhance specialists’ diagnostic and counseling competencies, promote the integration of traditional and modern methodologies, and develop professional skills for working with children with special educational needs.
During the seminar, participants discussed the continuity of diagnostic and corrective practices, explored contemporary methods and technologies, and engaged in professional experience exchange. The organizers emphasized that special education is not merely a professional field, but a meaningful mission that requires a high level of responsibility, empathy, and heartfelt dedication.
