Seminar on the principle of “Law and Order”

A seminar titled “The System of Measures for Detecting Doping: From Notification to a Legal Fact” was held for student-athletes of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Arts within the framework of the “Law and Order” principle.

The seminar was opened by the Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy, Bolat Seriev, who emphasized the importance of complying with legal requirements and adhering to the principles of fair play among student youth.

The Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Arts, Erlan Utegenov, also addressed the audience, highlighting the role of responsibility in professional sports and the significance of fostering an anti-doping culture.

During the seminar, a lecture was delivered by a faculty lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture and Initial Military Training, Candidate of Medical Sciences Gulmira Galieva, on the topic “The System of Measures for Detecting Doping: From Notification to a Legal Fact.”

A specialist from the Astana Olympic Training Center, Elmira Sagyndykova, provided explanations on issues related to anti-doping control in modern sports.
An International Master of Sport in weightlifting, Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and alumnus of Zhetysu University, Sergey Sedov, shared practical advice on maintaining and restoring athletes’ health.

In addition, a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Arts, International Master of Sport in jiu-jitsu Sagyndyk Sarsenuly, participated in the meeting and shared personal experience, focusing on integrity and responsibility in sports.

At the conclusion of the seminar, speakers responded to questions from students. Key issues related to compliance with anti-doping regulations, legal responsibility, and adherence to the principles of clean sport were discussed in detail.
