Additional education program for students

Between March 10 and March 20, 2026, the Center for Competencies and Complementary Education organized and conducted a training course for the continuing education program titled “Application of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Teaching Geography.”

The training program was developed by A.S. Nurgazina, a doctoral student in the “8D01505 – Geography” educational program. It is based on the results of research conducted as part of her doctoral dissertation: “Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Process of Teaching Geography.”

The training was attended by 3rd and 4th-year students of the “Geography” educational program who are interested in mastering modern approaches to organizing the educational process.

The program is aimed at developing professional competencies for geography teachers in the field of digital technology. During the course, participants improved their skills in effectively integrating AI-based data visualization tools, automated learning resources, and AI-powered web applications into the curriculum.

Upon completion of the training, participants highlighted the program’s practical significance, its relevance, and the applicability of the knowledge gained to their future professional activities.

The implementation of this program has contributed to the development of the professional skills of future educators and enhanced their readiness to work within a modern digital educational environment.
